The Role:
As Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions. You’ll be involved in projects from early feasibility through to final submission, liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure commercially competitive and compliant bids.
Responsibilities: - Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender documentation.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures.
- Supporting the commercial and project teams with pricing strategies.
- Attending client meetings and contributing to bid presentations where required.
About You: - Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction sector (main contractor background preferred).
- Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, cost planning, and tender processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong IT skills, with experience using estimating software packages.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and commercially astute.
