We’re currently working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor who are looking to strengthen their safety team with the addition of a Health & Safety Advisor covering sites across Cambridge and surrounding regions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of long-term residential infrastructure schemes and a well-embedded safety culture across their operations.
The Role You’ll be working closely with site teams and senior H&S leadership to:
- Monitor site safety compliance across multiple live projects
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site inductions
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Provide ongoing advice, guidance, and support to operational teams
- Review RAMS and promote a proactive approach to health, safety & environmental standards
What They're Looking For: - Previous experience in a site-based H&S role within groundworks, civils, or infrastructure
- Recognised H&S qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Construction Certificate)
- Strong working knowledge of CDM regs, lifting ops, plant safety, and site logistics
- Confident communicator who can build rapport with operatives and management
- UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites across the region
