We are currently recruiting for an experienced Office Administrator to join a growing construction business based in Bedfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a busy office environment and enjoys supporting multiple teams across projects, operations, and administration.

The Role
As Office Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office, supporting management, site teams, and external stakeholders. The position offers variety, covering both general office duties and sector-specific tasks linked to construction and plant operations.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for calls, emails, and visitors.
  • Maintaining accurate records, project documentation, and filing systems.
  • Assisting with procurement and plant hire bookings, including purchase orders and delivery tracking.
  • Supporting HR and compliance functions, such as training records, inductions, and health & safety paperwork.
  • Preparing reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence for management.
  • Coordinating meetings, staff diaries, and travel arrangements.
  • Providing administrative support to finance, commercial, and operational teams.
About You
  • Previous office administration experience (construction background desirable but not necessary).
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
