We’re working with a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major infrastructure programme. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in RC frame, groundworks, and heavy civils who’s looking to step up within a fast-paced, well-structured business delivering high-value projects.
The Role - Commercial management of RC frame, groundworks, and infrastructure packages from tender through to final account
- Manage and report on project costs, cash flow, and forecasts
- Prepare and agree applications for payment, variations, and compensation events under NEC contracts
- Oversee subcontract procurement and management, ensuring best value and compliance
- Support site teams with cost planning, progress tracking, and change control
- Liaise closely with clients, design teams, and senior management to ensure commercial objectives are met
About You - Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, RC frame, or major civils environments
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (Option C preferred)
- Confident managing subcontract accounts and delivering accurate cost reports
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with strong attention to detail
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent experience)
Salary up to £65,000 + car allowance + benefits
