I'm currently working with a well-established groundworks and civil engineering contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Buyer to strengthen their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, growing business with a strong pipeline of residential infrastructure projects across the South East.
The Role:
- Lead the procurement of materials across multiple live projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
- Negotiate the best commercial terms, pricing and lead times.
- Work closely with Commercial, Estimating and Operational teams to ensure projects are fully supported.
- Manage supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Support procurement strategy across the business.
What They're Looking For:
- Proven buying experience within groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of materials used across residential groundworks projects.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive individual who enjoys building long-term supplier relationships.
