We are currently working on behalf of a well established and reputable groundworks contractor, who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to strengthen their preconstruction team.
This role would suit an Estimator with a solid background in groundworks, capable of pricing projects independently and contributing to the continued success and growth of the business.
The Role: - Preparing accurate tenders for groundworks packages across residential and commercial projects
- Carrying out detailed take offs from drawings and specifications
- Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identifying risks, opportunities and value engineering options
- Working closely with commercial, operational and management teams
- Attending tender adjudications and pre-start meetings as required
The Ideal Candidate: - 7+ years’ experience in an Estimator role within groundworks or civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of residential groundworks and associated infrastructure
- Ability to price projects independently from first principles
- Excellent attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
