I’m currently working with a well established contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting a strong pipeline of projects across London.
This role will see you working across a mix of RC frame, groundworks and structural alteration (cut & carve) schemes, offering excellent exposure to complex and technically challenging projects.
The Role - Taking full commercial responsibility for projects from procurement through to final account
- Managing subcontractor packages, including procurement, payments and variations
- Preparing and overseeing valuations, CVRs and cost reporting
- Leading on change control, risk management and contract compliance (NEC/JCT)
- Working closely with project teams to drive commercial performance and delivery
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
- Involvement in tendering and preconstruction activities
What I’m Looking For - 8+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS within construction
- Strong background in RC frame, groundworks and structural alterations (cut & carve)
- Proven experience delivering projects across London
- Solid understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Confident managing multiple packages and stakeholders
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and leadership skills
