The Role: We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join an established regional contractor, overseeing projects across Wiltshire and the surrounding areas.
The role will involve taking responsibility for projects with values of up to £500,000, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site teams
- Monitor programme, quality, health & safety and overall project performance
- Work closely with Contracts Managers and commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
- Ensure projects are progressing in line with programme
- Identify and resolve potential programme and delivery risks
- Maintain high standards of health & safety across site
- Ensure works are completed to the required quality standards
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery
Requirements - Previous experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
- Background working for a main contractor or regional contractor
- Experience delivering refurbishment, small works or construction projects
- Strong programme and subcontractor management experience
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project cost control
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage projects autonomously and take full ownership of site delivery
- Based within a reasonable commute of Wiltshire
- Full UK driving licence
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred
