About the Role A well-established
general contractor in Los Angeles is seeking an
onsite Business Development Coordinator to support client outreach, proposal development, and strategic growth initiatives. This role works closely with senior leadership, preconstruction, and marketing teams to help drive new opportunities across commercial and institutional markets.
Key Responsibilities Business Development Support - Research new project leads, upcoming opportunities, developers, architects, and industry activity within the LA market.
- Assist in tracking and managing the company’s BD pipeline within CRM systems.
- Prepare capability packages, company qualifications, and customized client materials.
- Support the BD Manager and executive team with scheduling, client follow-up, and meeting preparation.
Proposal & Pursuit Coordination - Assist with RFQ/RFP responses including gathering resumes, project data, narratives, and scheduling internal review meetings.
- Coordinate proposal timelines, submission requirements, and formatting to meet client expectations.
- Maintain organized libraries of project profiles, staff bios, and proposal templates.
Client & Event Support - Assist with planning and coordinating industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
- Help prepare materials for client meetings and project interviews.
- Track post-event follow-up tasks and maintain documentation of new relationships.
Internal Collaboration - Work onsite with preconstruction, operations, marketing, and leadership teams.
- Prepare weekly BD reports, pipeline updates, and meeting summaries.
- Ensure internal information is organized, current, and readily available for proposals and presentations.
Qualifications - 1–3 years of experience in business development, marketing, or administrative roles within the construction or AEC industry (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CRM and proposal systems such as Cosential/Unanet, HubSpot, or Salesforce (preferred).
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; InDesign experience is a plus.
- Ability to work onsite full-time with a collaborative project and BD team.
