Business Development Coordinator – General Contractor (Onsite) Location: Los Angeles, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Position Overview A well-established general contractor in Los Angeles is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support client development, proposal coordination, and market growth initiatives. This role works onsite and closely with executive leadership, preconstruction, and marketing teams to help drive new project opportunities across the Southern California market.
Key Responsibilities Business Development Support
  • Assist in identifying and tracking new project opportunities, clients, developers, and architects.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems with leads, pursuits, and client interactions.
  • Prepare client-facing materials including capability statements, presentations, and qualifications packages.
  • Support BD leadership with meeting coordination, follow-ups, and pipeline reporting.
Proposal & Pursuit Coordination
  • Support RFQ/RFP responses by coordinating resumes, project descriptions, and pursuit schedules.
  • Assist with proposal formatting, compliance, and timely submission.
  • Maintain proposal libraries, project sheets, and staff resumes.
Client & Market Engagement
  • Assist with industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
  • Prepare materials for interviews and presentations.
  • Track and support follow-up activities after meetings and events.
Internal Coordination
  • Work onsite with preconstruction, estimating, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Assist with BD reports, pipeline updates, and internal communication.
  • Ensure consistent organization of BD and marketing documentation.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, marketing, or administrative roles within the construction or AEC industry (preferred).
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM platforms (Cosential/Unanet, Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to work onsite in a fast-paced GC environment.
