Position Overview A leading
electrical contractor specializing in transportation and public infrastructure is seeking a
Transportation Project Manager to lead electrical scopes on roadway, transit, and municipal projects. This role oversees complex, agency-driven work involving traffic systems, lighting, and ITS installations.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership - Manage electrical transportation projects from award through closeout
- Oversee field superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors
- Ensure installation aligns with plans, specs, and agency standards
Transportation Systems Oversight - Lead projects involving:
- Traffic signals & signal interconnect
- Street and highway lighting
- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- Fiber optic and communications infrastructure
- Transit station electrical systems
Financial & Contract Management - Develop and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Manage change orders, claims, and contract compliance
- Review subcontractor scopes and vendor proposals
Agency Coordination - Serve as primary contact with public agencies (Caltrans, LADOT, Metro, counties, cities)
- Coordinate inspections, shutdowns, and utility tie-ins
- Ensure compliance with public works and prevailing wage requirements
Qualifications - 5–10+ years of PM experience in electrical infrastructure or transportation projects
- Strong knowledge of traffic signal systems, roadway lighting, and ITS
- Experience working with public agencies and public works contracts
- Proficiency with Procore, Primavera/MS Project, Bluebeam
