Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns using estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, Sage, ProEst).
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure comprehensive coverage and competitive pricing.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and design review sessions.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing databases.
• Assist in value engineering, risk analysis, and constructability reviews.
• Prepare and present estimates to internal teams and clients with clear backup and rationale.
• Ensure estimates comply with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial, multifamily, infrastructure
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Procore Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of local subcontractor market and cost trends.
• Estimating certification (e.g., ASPE CPE) a plus.
