We are looking for an experienced Estimator to prepare competitive bids for K-12 schools, municipal facilities, labs, and industrial construction projects in the Sacramento region.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on conceptual and construction documents
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Review scope documents and identify value engineering opportunities
- Participate in bid reviews, pre-bid meetings, and proposal development
- Maintain current pricing databases and historical cost records
- 5+ years of estimating experience, ideally with K-12, public works, or lab/industrial scopes
- Strong understanding of public bidding procedures, prevailing wage, and California codes
- Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Excel, and estimating platforms like Sage or HCSS
- Familiarity with DSA, OSHPD, and LEED documentation preferred
