We’re working with a leading mechanical contractor in Dallas that is continuing to grow its engineering division due to a strong pipeline of commercial and mission-critical projects across Texas.
They are looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer with experience supporting large-scale HVAC and plumbing systems within commercial construction environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected contractor delivering complex projects including data centers, healthcare, higher education, industrial, and large commercial developments.
Mechanical Engineer – Dallas, TX Responsibilities: - Design and coordinate HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems for commercial construction projects
- Support preconstruction, estimating, and operations teams during project planning and execution
- Produce and review mechanical calculations, equipment selections, and technical submittals
- Coordinate with project managers, field teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Assist with BIM/VDC coordination and clash detection processes
- Ensure designs comply with local codes, project specifications, and client standards
- Support commissioning and project closeout activities where required
- Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience within commercial mechanical construction or MEP contracting
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, chilled water, piping, and plumbing design
- Experience working on large commercial, industrial, healthcare, or mission-critical projects preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination, and mechanical design software
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- EIT or PE license is advantageous but not essential
