We’re working with a leading contractor delivering high-profile
data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects across Texas. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced
MEP Superintendent to join their Austin-based team and take ownership of complex electrical and mechanical installations on fast-paced builds.
The Role As MEP Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all
mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) site activities, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery of critical systems within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and coordinate all on-site MEP trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, controls)
- Drive installation of critical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and BMS
- Manage subcontractors to ensure alignment with project schedule, QA/QC standards, and safety requirements
- Interface with commissioning teams to support L1–L5 commissioning activities
- Conduct daily site walks, progress tracking, and look-ahead planning
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, and local Texas codes
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve technical issues
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and site procedures
What We’re Looking For - 7+ years’ experience in a MEP Superintendent or Senior Foreman role
- Strong background in data centers, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in critical environments
- Experience managing large subcontractor teams on complex builds
- Knowledge of commissioning processes and turnover documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
