Position Overview A leading Tier 1 General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Executive to lead major construction projects across the Bay Area. This role will oversee large-scale commercial and institutional work, with aviation project experience considered a strong plus, though not required.
The ideal candidate is a proven operational leader with experience managing complex projects, developing high-performing teams, and maintaining strong client relationships within the Northern California market.
Key Responsibilities Executive Project Oversight

• Provide executive leadership across multiple large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Drive schedule performance, quality, safety, and operational excellence across all projects.

Financial & Operational Leadership

• Maintain oversight of project budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Manage risk, contract compliance, and operational efficiency across assigned projects or business units.
• Ensure projects meet profitability and client satisfaction goals.

Client Relations & Business Development

• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, consultants, and public agencies.
• Participate in project pursuits, interviews, and proposal strategies.
• Help expand the company’s Bay Area presence through repeat business and strategic relationships.

Aviation & Complex Project Experience (Preferred)

• Experience delivering aviation, airport, transit, or other technically complex infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with phased construction, occupied facilities, and logistical coordination is a plus.

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor and develop Project Managers and senior operations staff.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance culture across teams.
• Support recruiting and long-term operational growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience with a leading general contractor.
• Proven success in a Project Executive, Senior PM, or Operations leadership role.
• Experience managing large-scale commercial, institutional, aviation, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong operational, financial, and leadership capabilities.
• Existing Bay Area client relationships and market knowledge strongly preferred.
• Aviation project experience is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication, business development, and team leadership skills.
