Job Title: Project Manager – Structural Steel Contractor (Structural Steel Project Management Experience Essential)

Location: Westport, CT (Projects throughout Connecticut and neighboring states)

Their projects range from commercial buildings to institutional and industrial structures, along with miscellaneous metals/railings etc. and they take pride in delivering precision, safety, and quality on every job.

Position Overview:
This is for an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of steel fabrication and erection projects. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects from bid through completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, fabricators, and field crews
• Prepare schedules, budgets, and project documentation
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure safety compliance
• Conduct site visits and progress meetings

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in structural steel as a Project Manager ESSENTIAL
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes ESSENTIAL
• PowerFab (steel fabrication management software) ESSENTIAL
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with project management and drafting software (e.g., Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MS Project)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
