QA/QC Manager – Healthcare (OSHPD-1) Location: Mammoth, CA

Position Overview A leading California general contractor is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager with OSHPD-1 healthcare construction experience to support a high-profile hospital project in Mammoth, CA. This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive quality control programs to ensure compliance with strict healthcare regulations, project specifications, and industry standards.
Candidates currently working as Superintendents with a strong focus on quality and compliance are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities Quality Program Leadership
  • Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific quality control plan.
  • Ensure all construction activities meet contract documents, regulatory requirements, and healthcare standards.
  • Establish inspection and testing protocols for all phases of construction.
Healthcare & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHPD-1 and California Department of Health Care Access and Information requirements.
  • Coordinate directly with inspectors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain required documentation and reporting for all inspections and approvals.
  • Support infection control and ICRA planning in active healthcare environments.
Field Coordination & Oversight
  • Work closely with the Superintendent and field teams to monitor workmanship and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and audits.
  • Verify installation meets plans, specifications, and approved submittals.
  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Submittals, Testing & Closeout
  • Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance.
  • Coordinate material testing, mockups, and commissioning support.
  • Lead punch list development, closeout, and final turnover documentation.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with project management, design teams, and subcontractors to resolve quality and constructability issues.
  • Support continuous improvement and lessons learned across projects.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare or hospital construction.
  • Proven experience in QA/QC or field leadership roles on OSHPD-1 projects.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare construction codes, inspection processes, and documentation.
  • Experience working in active or occupied hospital environments preferred.
  • Background as a Superintendent or field leader highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
