CANADA SENIOR SALES SPECIALIST
Role Summary We’re seeking a motivated Sales Representative to drive company growth in Canada by securing product specifications and closing high-value deals with sustainability-focused clients. You’ll build relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and other key decision-makers, promoting company solutions for retrofit (3–6 months) and new construction (9–18 months) projects. This role requires a consultative sales approach, emphasizing product education and specification in project design phases to position them as the preferred solution.

Key Responsibilities - Strategic Sales Execution: Develop and implement targeted sales strategies for healthcare, higher education, infrastructure (e.g., ports and airports), and real estate verticals to generate leads, increase market penetration, and achieve sales targets ($4M–$6M in Year 1, $15M within 24 months), aligning with each sector’s sustainability priorities and company’s mission.
- Product Specification: Secure company product specifications on 10 projects in Year 1 and 15 in Year 2 by collaborating with architects during schematic/design development phases, providing technical data (e.g., carbon footprint, thermal properties) and samples,
competing against rival specifications, and maintaining engagement to ensure their products remain in project plans through installation.
- Collaboration: Partner with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to integrate companies solar-integrated building designs into projects, providing technical expertise to meet the specific requirements of hospitals, universities, airports, and residential buildings.
- Education & Advocacy: Educate decision-makers in target verticals on the environmental, operational, and cost-saving benefits of their products through 1–2 weekly AIA-accredited Lunch & Learn sessions (4–8 monthly) and 1–2 monthly educational pieces (e.g., whitepapers, ROI calculators).
- Industry Trends & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on trends, technological advancements, and competitive products within target verticals, using insights to position their solutions as the preferred choice for aesthetic integration, energy efficiency, and Canadian sustainability standards.
- Sales Presentations & Product Knowledge: Conduct tailored product presentations for each vertical, showcasing how their solutions meet the needs of healthcare facilities, universities, airports, and residential portfolios.
- Sales Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project implementation from specification to installation, managing timelines and client expectations efficiently.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Submit weekly activity reports and quarterly pipeline forecasts ($25M by Year 1, $100M within 24 months) via CRM (Salesforce), presenting market analysis and opportunities across verticals.
- Representation: Represent them at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and in-person meetings focused on healthcare, higher education, infrastructure, and real estate to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications - Experience: ○ 10+ years of senior leadership experience in B2B sales, marketing, or revenue operations, with at least 5 years in a C-suite or VP-level role.
○ Proven track record of scaling revenue by 5X or more in a hardware, cleantech, or construction-related industry.
○ Experience in the renewable energy, solar, or building materials sector is highly preferred.
○ Demonstrated success in global market expansion and managing complex, high-value sales cycles.
○ Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
○ Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
○ Strong understanding of B2B marketing, demand generation, and brand positioning.
○ Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and data-driven revenue forecasting.
○ Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills for partnerships and client engagements.
○ Familiarity with construction, real estate, or architectural markets is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
