Position Overview A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale construction projects in the Sacramento region. This role is responsible for full lifecycle project management, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing complex projects and the ability to oversee multiple teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution
  • Lead multiple projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Manage Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field alignment and productivity.
Financial & Contract Management
  • Oversee project budgets, cost controls, and forecasting.
  • Manage change orders, claims, and contract administration.
  • Ensure projects meet profitability targets and financial goals.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and consultants.
  • Lead OAC meetings and executive-level reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.
Preconstruction & Strategy
  • Participate in estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
  • Support pursuit strategy and business development efforts.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers and junior staff.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and best practices across teams.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience managing commercial, healthcare, or multifamily construction projects.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects ($20M+) and multiple teams.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software.
