Position Overview A leading general contractor in San Diego is seeking an experienced
Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial, healthcare, and multifamily construction projects. This role is responsible for full project leadership from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered
on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution - Lead multiple large-scale projects, managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Oversee all phases of construction, from preconstruction, procurement, field execution, to project turnover.
- Coordinate and manage Superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and local building codes.
Financial & Contract Management - Develop and maintain project budgets and cost controls.
- Manage change orders, claims, and contract compliance.
- Prepare forecasts, reports, and analyze project financial performance.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination - Serve as primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Lead project meetings, including OAC meetings, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Resolve project issues proactively, ensuring client satisfaction and successful project delivery.
Team Leadership & Mentorship - Mentor Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and field staff.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and best practices across project teams.
Qualifications - 10+ years of experience managing large commercial, healthcare, or multifamily construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage budgets of $20M+ and complex schedules.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and regulations in California.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Excel.
