Job Title: DSA Superintendent – K-12 & Public Works Construction Location: Sacramento Valley, CA
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced
DSA Superintendent to oversee construction field operations for
K-12, higher education, and public works projects in the Sacramento Valley. The ideal candidate will bring
4–8 years of direct experience working on DSA-regulated projects, with a strong understanding of compliance, inspections, and quality standards unique to state-funded educational facilities.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities for DSA-regulated projects
- Manage subcontractors, field staff, and inspectors to ensure work is performed to DSA standards
- Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and site safety plans
- Conduct daily site meetings and maintain accurate reporting/documentation for DSA reviews
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Inspectors of Record (IOR) to ensure compliance and resolve issues
- Monitor quality control and oversee corrective action processes where needed
- Manage site safety in accordance with OSHA and company requirements
- Support project delivery on time and within budget while maintaining excellent client relationships
Qualifications: - 4–8 years of superintendent experience specifically on DSA projects (schools, community colleges, public facilities)
- Strong knowledge of DSA compliance procedures, submittal workflows, and inspection processes
- Proven ability to lead field teams on multi-million-dollar education/public works projects
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (MS Project/Primavera)
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate in occupied facilities and phased construction environments
