Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee daily on-site operations for commercial construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for field coordination, schedule management, safety enforcement, and quality assurance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. This role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on construction knowledge, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, field teams, and vendors effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Field Operations & Oversight
  • Manage daily construction site operations and serve as the primary field contact.
  • Coordinate all subcontractor activities and ensure efficient sequencing of work.
  • Maintain and enforce jobsite safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
  • Monitor field progress and make real-time adjustments to keep projects on schedule.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, site walkthroughs, and toolbox talks.
Scheduling & Coordination
  • Maintain and update look-ahead schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage to minimize delays.
  • Identify and resolve field issues promptly to avoid rework or interruptions.
Quality Control & Inspections
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule inspections with city officials, engineers, and third-party consultants.
  • Identify and document punch list items and oversee project closeout efforts.
Team & Stakeholder Communication
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and field crews.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain open communication with all trades.
  • Keep accurate daily logs, reports, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in commercial construction, including ground-up or tenant improvement projects.
  • Proven leadership in managing subcontractors and field staff.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, structural work, MEP coordination, and site logistics.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
