Job Title: Superintendent – Active Healthcare Projects Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations for active healthcare construction projects across the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing renovations, additions, and new builds within operational hospital or clinical environments. This role requires meticulous coordination, adherence to HCAI/OSHPD standards, and the ability to lead projects with minimal disruption to ongoing healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all field activities for healthcare construction projects in occupied or partially operational facilities
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and field staff to maintain safety, infection control, and workflow continuity
• Enforce compliance with HCAI/OSHPD regulations, infection control standards (ICRA), and client-specific protocols
• Develop and manage phasing plans, logistics, and site access in collaboration with hospital facilities teams
• Conduct daily coordination meetings, issue progress reports, and ensure accurate field documentation
• Partner closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and client representatives to resolve issues
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment for staff, patients, and visitors

Qualifications:

• 10–15+ years of commercial construction experience, including 5+ years on healthcare projects
• Experience working in occupied or active hospital environments required
• Deep understanding of HCAI/OSHPD standards and ICRA protocols
• Proven success leading multi-phase hospital or medical office renovations and ground-up projects
• Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera)
• OSHA 30 and ICRA certifications preferred
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
