Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced
Quality Control Manager (QCM) or
Site Superintendent to support a
federally contracted construction project in
Tracy, CA. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working on U.S. federal construction projects, with a strong understanding of federal compliance standards, quality assurance, and site safety protocols. Candidates
must be U.S. citizens and preferably based in or near the Tracy area.
Key Responsibilities: For
QCM Candidates:
- Oversee all quality control activities on-site in accordance with federal project specifications
- Prepare, implement, and manage the Quality Control Plan (QCP)
- Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections in line with USACE/NAVFAC standards
- Maintain documentation, submittals, and field records as required by the contract
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements
For
Site Superintendent Candidates:
- Manage day-to-day site operations including subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, and schedule adherence
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with project specifications and federal regulations
- Lead daily field meetings, maintain jobsite logs, and oversee inspections
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve issues and maintain progress
Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship (Required due to federal contract requirements)
- Prior experience on federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, VA, GSA, etc.)
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience in quality control or site supervision
- Strong knowledge of federal construction standards, EM 385-1-1 safety protocols, and project documentation requirements
- Proficient in Procore, RMS/QCS, or equivalent field management tools
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications: - Current USACE or NAVFAC QCM Certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience on projects in the Central Valley or Northern California region
