Job Title: Superintendent – DSA (Education & Public Works) Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Position Summary: We are looking for a knowledgeable Superintendent with strong DSA project experience to lead construction operations for K–12, higher education, and public works projects throughout the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing field teams, inspectors, and subcontractors while ensuring full compliance with Division of the State Architect (DSA) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily field operations on DSA-regulated education and public works projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and inspectors to ensure compliance with DSA standards
• Maintain project schedule, safety compliance, and quality control across all construction activities
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Inspectors of Record (IOR)
• Conduct site coordination meetings, document progress, and manage punch lists
• Oversee inspections, testing, and certification processes required by DSA authorities
• Ensure project delivery aligns with design intent, schedule, and client expectations

Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years of superintendent experience with at least 4 years on DSA-regulated projects
• Proven success managing K–12 or higher education construction projects
• In-depth understanding of DSA documentation, inspection, and compliance procedures
• Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools (MS Project or Primavera)
• OSHA 30 certification required; CPR/First Aid preferred
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication abilities
