Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Superintendent to manage daily on-site operations for commercial construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for supervising field activities, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality control, enforcing safety standards, and coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients. This role requires strong leadership, technical construction expertise, and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Field Operations & Leadership
  • Lead all on-site construction activities to ensure project completion according to schedule, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain project efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, field reports, and records of inspections and progress.
  • Conduct daily site meetings with subcontractors and weekly coordination meetings with the project team.
Scheduling & Coordination
  • Develop and maintain detailed look-ahead schedules and ensure alignment with overall project milestones.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts early and work with the project team to implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee material deliveries, site logistics, and proper sequencing of trades.
Safety & Quality Control
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, site audits, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
  • Represent the company on-site, maintaining a professional relationship with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Provide regular project updates and field reports to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve field issues quickly and efficiently to minimize project disruptions.
Qualifications: Education & Experience:
  • Minimum 5–10 years of construction experience with at least 3 years in a Superintendent role.
  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects, including ground-up and tenant improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction sequencing, and field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of site logistics, trade coordination, and jobsite safety practices.
